Are you ready for a challenge? PADT is currently seeking an Account Manager for the sale of ANSYS software. The Account Manager is responsible for all ANSYS software sales activities, from lead generation through close in an assigned territory or set of accounts, and is responsible for maximizing sales profitability, growth and account penetration. Products and services are sold directly to end users primarily via face-to-face contact by performing the following duties.

  • Perform all sales activities for new and renewed business in an assigned geographic area

Inside Sales Representative, Simulation Software Sales


Location: Tempe, AZ


PADT is currently seeking an Inside Sales Representative for its Simulation Sales Group.  The Inside Sales Representative will identify new, up-sell and cross-sell opportunities (through tele-based activities), including identifying leads, progressing leads through the pipeline, and providing sales qualified leads to outside sales account managers by performing the following duties. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.

  • Collaborate with marketing and account managers to build a qualified pipeline of customers for use as sales leads, based on information from ad inquiries, trade shows, direct mail responses, card deck leads, aged leads, dealer resellers, business directories, Internet Web sites, and other sources
  • Identify target markets, develop leads and directly prospect into those accounts
  • Make outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services
  • Handle inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales
  • Overcome technical and business objections of prospective customers
  • Build and maintain customers relationships

PADT is currently seeking an Inside Sales Representative for its 3D Printer Sales Group. The Inside Sales Representative assists in identifying sales opportunities and moving prospects through the sales process via cold calling and/or emailing. Includes, communicating with existing customers to uncover any current or future sales opportunities, diligently entering accurate notes into the Contact and Record Management (CRM) systems, and maintaining assigned monthly and quarterly goals to ensure partner and customer satisfaction by performing the following duties.

The Account Manager is responsible for all Desktop Metal 3D printer hardware sales activities, from lead generation through close in Texas and is responsible for maximizing sales profitability, growth and account penetration. Field Service & Applications Engineer, 3D Printing


Location: Murray, UT


The Field Service & Applications Engineer is responsible for responding to and resolving customer requests for technical assistance and installation of 3D printers, related equipment and software. Also provides technical expertise to PADT's hardware sales team, internal users, and customers to aid in the sale and support of PADT’s hardware offerings.
Field Service Engineer responsibilities include: installation, setup, maintenance, repair and training to eliminate future operational or service difficulties.

Applications Engineer responsibilities include supporting sales and support efforts with skills and abilities including product expertise, problem solving, communicating with customers, demonstrating products, debugging, and documenting customer requirements.

  • Responds to customer inquiries for installation or repair in a timely manner
  • Installs new or modified equipment at customer's facility to ensure full functionality according to specifications.

Application Engineer for ANSYS/Flownex


Location: Tempe, AZ


PADT is currently seeking an Application Engineer for ANSYS & Flownex Simulation Software in its Tempe, AZ office.

ANSYS is a software suite that enables engineering simulation of products and systems across a broad range of physics with a depth of capability in each. The position will focus on ANSYS tools for fluid dynamics and thermal simulation, as well as proficiency in supporting process tools such as geometry preparation, meshing, and post-processing.
Flownex is thermo-fluid simulation software package that allows engineers, analysts, designers, managers and stakeholders to perform design/analysis/optimization of thermodynamic systems. Frequent thermo-fluid applications for Flownex include advanced nuclear reactors and gas turbines.
PADT is looking for a hard-working application engineer to join our team. Summary: The Application Engineer provides technical expertise for ANSYS and Flownex simulation software in support of PADT’s sales team through strategic pre-sales and technical scoping activities utilizing proven domain expertise, problem solving, demonstrating and presenting to customers by performing the following duties.

  • Support PADT’s software sales team by acting as the ANSYS/Flownex technical resource throughout the sales process to include;
    • Presenting PADT’s expertise and capabilities to prospects and customers and helping to grow relationships
    • Conducting in-person and web-conference discovery meetings with customers
    • Defining customer requirement specifications, and discussing software capability
    • Assisting in the development and generation of formal sales proposals to ensure technical accuracy
    • Perform benchmarking with ANSYS/Flownex tools as needed and collect various performance and accuracy metrics
    • Coordinating and delivering sales collateral, presentation project plans, process flow, provision specifications, and service level definitions
    • Creating detailed implementation plans inclusive of sales strategy by addressing schemes, service level agreements, and network validation and testing procedures
    • Providing expert advice on application of ANSYS/Flownex to specific use cases
    • Provide on-going technical support via in-person, phone, email, or web conference
    • Training customers on software applications or use cases
    • Delivering professional consulting services in the form of update presentations, periodic meetings, or account reviews with customer stakeholders
  • Provide support and mentoring on ANSYS/Flownex products for existing PADT customers
  • Educate colleagues in areas of expertise and participate in training to expand knowledge in other areas
  • Create and maintain sales case studies for all non-standard sales opportunities

Electrical Engineering Intern


Location: Tempe, AZ


PADT is currently seeking a part-time (20 hours per week) EE Intern to join our team in Tempe, AZ for 3 to 12 months.

Summary: The Electrical Engineering Intern will join and support a team of application engineers responsible for delivering simulation solutions, training, and support for electromagnetics and circuits using ANSYS software. This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, the intern will learn how to take the skills she or he may have acquired in school related to his or her degree and apply them in a professional setting.

  • Learn and employ best practices for high-frequency electromagnetic simulation
  • Contribute to the innovation and development of simulation procedures
  • Identify and investigate simulation procedural errors or oversights
